Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of schematics and the ability to work with precision tools and machinery. The Welder/Fitter will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.
Responsibilities
Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Fabricate metal components according to specifications using welding techniques.
Assemble parts and structures by fitting, welding, and securing them together.
Operate various machinery including press brake machines, forklifts, and cranes as needed.
Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Skills
Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).
Experience with machining processes is a plus.
Familiarity with operating forklifts and cranes safely.
Ability to fabricate metal components accurately using calipers and other measuring tools.
Robust understanding of schematics for effective assembly and fabrication.
Experience with rigging techniques for lifting heavy materials safely.
Knowledge of operating press brake machines is advantageous.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
