Senior Tax Manager | Real Estate | Toronto

Minted Search Group is partnering with a Toronto-based real estate private equity firm to hire a Senior Tax Manager.

THE CHANCE

You'll be the go-to tax person for a growing real estate investment platform, reporting directly to the CFO. You'll own corporate and partnership tax compliance across a multi-entity structure of GPs, LPs and holding companies. You'll also take on real planning work with established external advisors support the complex files.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Prepare, file and coordinate T2 corporate and T5013 partnership returns
Prepare T5 slips and NR4 returns, and file HST/GST, including SLFI returns
Research tax issues and bring management a clear recommendation
Support planning work: Section 97 rollovers, amalgamations, wind-ups, holdco structuring and EIFEL
Manage tax estimates and instalments across multiple fiscal year-ends
Support investor tax reporting and respond to investor requests
Coordinate with external advisors and the CRA
Use AI and automation tools to make year-end faster





WHAT YOU BRING
CPA designation
5+ years of Canadian tax experience, in public practice or industry
Strong working knowledge of corporate and partnership tax (T2, T5013, T5, NR4)
Experience with multi-entity structures (GP/LP, holdcos)
Good understanding of HST/GST, ideally in real estate
In-Depth Tax Course completed or in progress is a strong asset
Real estate, private equity or asset management experience is an asset
