Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Fire Pump Technician (FP) with ASTT certification to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, commissioning and repair of various pumping systems. This role requires, but not limited to, a minimum of 1 year experience in the field of fire pumps in BC with and the understanding of mechanical systems and proficiency in using hand tools. Applicants with Fire Alarm (FA), Extinguisher (EX), Water Based Fire Protection Systems (WA) and Registered Fire Protection Technician with the necessary ASTT Stamps , ticketed Millwrights and BCWWA Backflow certification will also be considered for this position. There will be onsite training available to all successful candidates.

Responsibilities
Inspection, maintenance, commissioning and repair various types of Fire pumps and domestic water booster pumping systems.
Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
Utilize hand tools and related equipment to complete tasks effectively.
Perform plumbing tasks related to pump installation and maintenance.




Apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations. .
Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Proficiency with electrical control systems and electrical control aptitude an asset

Skills
Proficiency in using hand tools and welding techniques.
Knowledge of MS excel and ability to use standard apps for work completion
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to maintain various pumping systems.
Familiarity with mechanical systems
Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting issues.
Valuable communication skills to collaborate with team members and customers effectively.

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
