Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, processing transactions, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work efficiently within a quick-paced environment.
Duties
Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Process invoices, payments, and financial transactions in a timely manner.
Perform data entry tasks to ensure all financial information is up-to-date.
Assist customers with inquiries related to their accounts, providing excellent customer service.
Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Negotiate payment plans with clients when necessary.
Utilize accounting software to manage financial records and generate reports.
Uphold professional phone etiquette while handling calls related to account inquiries.
Requirements and skills
A diploma or above in Accounting, Finance,
or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in an Accounting, Finance, or relevant role.
Excellent analytical skills to evaluate financial data and identify trends.
Strong attention to detail for accurate data entry and record keeping.
Familiarity with financial services and accounting practices is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of financial/accounting software; experience with Sage Simply Accounting is considered an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., formulas).

Pay: $25.50-$28.00 per hour
