We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tower Crane Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of Tower cranes, . This role requires solid mechanical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced environment. The job is a 15-story condo building located in Halifax, NS.
Responsibilities
Safely operate cranes such as tower crane move materials across construction sites.
Conduct routine inspections of crane equipment to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly.
Coordinate with ground personnel and project managers to execute lifts accurately and efficiently.
Maintain explicit communication with team members using effective verbal and non-verbal skills.
Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
Assist with basic maintenance of crane equipment when necessary.
Ensure work areas are organized, clean, and free of hazards during operations.
Skills
Proven experience of at least 5 years operating crane in construction environments.
Mechanical knowledge related to crane operation.
Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
Ability to work safely in high-risk environments while adhering to safety standards.
