RAPS is Seeking a part time youth support worker to assist an individual with Autism (E39)
Location SE Calgary
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 3 days a week 2:20pm-5:20pm
2 days a week 2:20pm-8pm (Special Olympics day) Days TBD
Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to: Personal care/ Hygiene prompting, Support on outings including client transportation, Participation in activities *Swimming, games, library, Special Olympics. Encouragement of independent life skills (meal planning and preparation, light housework and laundry). Exploration of Youth volunteer opportunities, Supervision and companionship.
Qualifications: the successful candidate must have an updated criminal record check containing the Vulnerable sector check portion, a class 5 driver’s license and vehicle for client transportation is considered an asset, experience working with Autism or similar cognitive disabilities would be required. .
Having first aid/CPR and experience with non-verbal clients is considered an asset.
Rate of Pay: $17.81/ hour
