The Spiritual Care and Community Liaison Assistant provides leadership in assuring the integration of spirituality and care into everyday operations and interactions. They will actively collaborate with the Parish Priest to foster a culture that is grounded in the Core Values of compassion, inclusion, integrity, excellence and collaboration.
Job Requirements
Education: Certificate or equivalent in Christian ministry or a related field, working knowledge of health care systems and a demonstrated familiarity with a diversity of spirituality; the knowledge and ability to work effectively within the framework of the Anglican Church.
Experience: Experience working with the elderly required; At least two years of demonstrated success in management positions, preferably in health care. Training and/or experience in community health care will be an advantage
Duties and responsibilities:
Offers prayers and delegated religious services for members and the community.
Work with relevant community agencies to access resources
Foster a positive relationships between the church, school, home, and community
Assist at services of public worship and religious rites
Provide religious education, spiritual guidance and moral support
Administer programs providing food,
clothing and shelter
Liaise with community agencies or partners, and identify additional or alternative services and provide referrals
Liaise with departmental and corporate officials and with other organizations and associations
Provide spiritual and moral guidance to church members
Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
Liaise with the inmates' families and contacts in the community
Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a Community Liaison or similar role
Excellent communication skills
Flexible, amicable, and community-oriented approach
Adherence to designated procedural guidelines.
Relevant training and/or certifications as a Community Liaison
Job Types: Permanent, Full time
Pay: $17.26-$22.09 per hour
