Responsibilities and Duties
The role of an educator is to be responsible for all areas of development in relation to the Education, Safety, Health and Hygiene, and cognitive development of the children.
Understanding a daycare can be excellent start for children to build foundation for their developments.
Dedicated to creating an atmosphere that is stimulating, encouraging, safe, and adaptive to each child's individual need.
Plan and implement developmental programs, based on observation of individual children on a daily basis which includes a balance of indoor and outdoor play experience.
Observe and record children’s growth, behavior and development, and discuss with their parents.
Integrate children with special needs into the program, modifying the program and the physical setting when necessary.
Prepare play and learning materials and set up the children's environment.
Supervise children's play, making sure of their physical safety at all times.
Provide a stimulating and nurturing environment.
Use consistent guidance methods that preserve and nourish the child’s self- esteem and techniques that are respectful, positive and age-appropriate.
Regularly maintain a disinfected, neat and organized classroom.
Keep daily attendance records, and appropriate recording of administering medication according to government requirements.
Disinfect classroom toys/shelves/equipment.
Take responsibility for the up-keep of all educational materials and equipment.
Maintain an on-going positive open communication with the parents of the children under his/her care.
Qualifications and Skills, you must have:
A DEC in ECE or BAC Child Studies or an Attestation in ECE + 5000 hours of experience
A First Aid Certificate.
Police check.
Minimum 3 years experience in daycare education, and bilingual in French and English, spoken and written
Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
