As a Relief Residential Client Advocate, you will utilize an anti-racist, anti-oppressive framework in assisting women-identified individuals and their dependents. Your responsibilities will involve risk assessments, safety planning, conflict resolution, and facilitating resource access for clients. Your impact directly supports the well-being and empowerment of vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans
• Ensure the shelter's overall safety and security
• Facilitate resources and referrals for service users
• Participate in in office group activities for clients
• Maintain accurate records using case management tools
Requirements:
• Diploma in Social Service Work or higher preferred
• Minimum one year of related work experience
• Robust understanding of gender-based violence and trauma
• Excellent crisis intervention and counselling skills
• Fluency in French is an asset
