Position OverviewThe Print/Heat Transfer Associate is responsible for preparing, positioning, and applying heat transfer graphics to a variety of garments and products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate heat press equipment according to garment, transfer and production specifications.Adjust temperature, pressure and application time to suit each fabric and transfer type.Review work orders and approved samples to confirm logo placement, dimensions, colours and quantities.Prepare garments and accurately position transfers using templates, guides and measuring tools.Complete test applications and obtain approval before starting production.Inspect finished garments for alignment, adhesion, appearance and fabric damage.Identify and troubleshoot issues such as scorching, press marks, dye migration, peeling and incomplete adhesion.Follow approved application methods for specialty garments, including high-visibility and flame-resistant uniforms.Record completed quantities and report defects, shortages or production issues promptly.Perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance,



and report equipment problems.Keep the workstation organized and follow safe procedures when handling heated equipment.Coordinate with production and quality control to meet delivery deadlines.Qualifications Proven experience operating commercial heat presses in an apparel decoration or garment production workplace.Knowledge of heat transfer materials and their application requirements.Experience working with cotton, polyester, blended fabrics and performance garments.Ability to interpret work orders, follow technical instructions and reproduce approved samples consistently.Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity and quality control skills.Ability to manage production priorities and maintain consistent results during repetitive work.Dependable, organized and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.Experience decorating corporate uniforms, workwear or protective garments is an asset.
