What You'll Do
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead daily production activities, support workforce development, drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster an environment where safety, quality, accountability and employee engagement are priorities.

Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
Oversee recruitment and selection of production team members
Coach, mentor and develop supervisors, lead hands and production teams
Support performance discussions, goal setting and development planning
Resolve and oversee escalated employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution and corrective action processes
Promote employee engagement, retention and career development opportunities
Ensure compliance with employment law, operational standards, procedures and company human resources policies, health and safety legislation and safe work practices
Collaborate with Quality Department to champion quality standards and customer expectations

What You Bring
Experience in recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, performance management and workforce development initiatives
Familiar with employment legislation and employee relations principles
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience overseeing employees or production teams




Related post-secondary education is considered an asset (including human resources management or business administration)
Strong leadership and team building capabilities
Knowledge of manufacturing operations and production best practice
Excellent coaching, communication and conflict resolution skills
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to balance operational priorities with employee engagement and development
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems
