This position reports directly to the Area Construction Manager and performs work requiring advanced knowledge which is predominantly intellectual in character and which routinely exercises discretion and judgment. The Construction Coordinator plans and performs work requiring sound technical judgment in the evaluation, organization, and execution of assignments. Applies diversified knowledge of construction and technical principles, practices, and methods for a range of assignments. This position has developed a working knowledge in one or more specific construction disciplines but will work across all construction disciplines.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities Develop methods, techniques, and procedures for the implementation and trouble shooting of special construction discipline work processes
Communicate and interact with all levels of craft, supervision, and management on Fluor construction sites
Support projects that are located in the office and in the field
Develop and maintain relationships with Engineering and Procurement (EP) representatives and expedite and troubleshoot deliverables from the EP group.
Review inter-related project schedules and assist in development of work plans to support project milestones
Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
Organize and prioritize a variety of assignments and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
May need to travel to attend to business related matters
Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality

Basic Job Requirements Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to, coworkers, management, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications Possess problem solving, organizational, and conflict resolution skills
Through understanding of construction operations and support functions
Ability to collaborate and adapt to changing conditions
Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations
This position will be located on site in Fort Saskatchewan working a 5 days on 2 days off
Working Conditions: Generally a combination of indoor office workspace, various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to a project worksite will have moving mechanical parts and vibration high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
