Our public sector client is seeking a Junior UI/UX Developer (3–5 years of experience) to implement customer-facing digital experiences using Sitecore CMS, React, and WCAG 2.0 AA

Join a high-visibility digital transformation initiative focused on redesigning and enhancing customer-facing transit experiences. This role will implement the approved website redesign, build responsive real-time arrival and service alert applications, and deliver accessible front-end solutions within an existing Sitecore environment. The assignment includes work across web, kiosk, and large-format display interfaces using real-time GTFS-RT data and responsive UI components.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid, Working Hours: EST

Must Haves

- 3–5 years as a UI/UX Developer or Front-End Developer implementing customer-facing websites from approved designs
- Implementation of front-end designs within an enterprise Sitecore CMS environment
- Delivery of accessible interfaces compliant with WCAG 2.0 Level AA , including ARIA, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader compatibility
- University degree or college diploma in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice to Have

- Experience with digital signage or passenger information display systems
- Hands‑on Sitecore CMS development including templates, components, and personalization
- Experience with Figma component libraries, design tokens, and design systems
- Experience with Git, front‑end build tools, and CI/CD pipelines
- Public sector, municipal government, or transit industry experience

Responsibilities





- Implement the approved website redesign using production‑ready accessible front‑end code within Sitecore CMS
- Review vendor discovery and definition deliverables for technical feasibility and implementation planning
- Build and extend reusable UI components within the existing design system
- Integrate front‑end interfaces with scheduling feeds, service alerts, trip planning, and customer feedback features
- Design and build responsive next‑arrivals and service alerts web applications for kiosk, large‑format, and mobile displays
- Develop and maintain design and technical documentation in accordance with organizational standards
