Our client is a food manufacturing company in the Vancouver area. The Plant Manager (potentially Director Operations title) is responsible for leading end-to-end manufacturing operations, supply chain performance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This role ensures the secure, efficient, and cost-effective production and delivery of high-quality food products while driving operational excellence through KPI management, people leadership, and strategic execution. Responsibilities
Lead all manufacturing and supply chain functions to achieve business objectives related to safety, quality, service, and cost. Develop and execute operational strategies that support company growth and customer requirements. Drive operational excellence initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, capacity optimization, and process improvement. Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, regulatory, and workplace safety requirements.
Optimize inventory levels while maintaining customer service targets. Manage supplier performance and supply continuity to minimize disruptions. Establish, monitor, and report on key operational and supply chain KPIs. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing (CPG), or a related manufacturing environment required. Demonstrated success leading both operations and supply chain functions with teams over 50+ people. Strong experience with KPI-driven management systems and continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of food safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills. Salary mid 100,000 range depending on experience.
