Key Responsibilities-Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports-Oversee general accounting and ensure the accuracy of financial data-Prepare and coordinate the annual budget-Manage banking activities and related financial matters-Record and reconcile payroll data transmitted by head office-Respond to various financial and administrative requests from head office-Prepare government reports, notably related to imports and statistics-Verify and process invoices from suppliers-Participate in negotiations of contracts, leases, and agreements with suppliers-Act as a resource person and provide support to a team of approximately 11 employees-Coordinate certain administrative activities related to the smooth operation of the office-Handle unexpected or urgent operational requests-Work closely with management-Participate in a potential transition from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to a new accounting system Desired Profile-CPA designation required-Solid accounting experience at a senior level-Excellent command of financial statements, general accounting, and budgeting-Advanced proficiency in Excel-Experience with ERP/accounting systems-Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, an asset-Excellent business judgment and problem-solving skills-Comfort negotiating and dealing with suppliers and external partners-Natural leadership and excellent communication skills-Strong autonomy, organizational sense, and resourcefulness-Practical, versatile, and team-oriented approach-Career history demonstrating good employment stability and an interest in long-term commitment What We Offer-Starting salary of $110,000, negotiable based on experience-Comprehensive insurance program-RRSP with employer contribution-Employee stock purchase plan-Profit sharing-Flexible schedule-Occasional remote work opportunities-An established company offering stability and long-term prospects-An autonomous role with direct proximity to management This role is for you if:-You are an experienced CPA who appreciates both numbers and operations.-You are looking for an environment where you can leverage your experience, judgment, and versatility.-You are equally comfortable preparing financial statements as you are speaking with the bank, negotiating agreements, responding to head-office requests, or finding solutions to unexpected situations.-You are looking for a stable, long-term opportunity where you can become an important and respected member of the organization.
