Business Development Manager –Mortgages , Alberta

Job Description

The mandateof the role is to market Mortgages to all licensed Mortgage Brokers within anassigned territory. The incumbent will seek out recent business opportunities andcontinue to build positive relationships with existing mortgage brokers to selland promote Bank mortgage products.

Responsibilities

- Build and maintain positive business relationships with MortgageBrokers and Mortgage Agents through the sale of mortgage products, broker/agentsatisfaction, and retention of accounts.
- Followand maintain a defined sales strategy based on activities and proper databasemanagement
- Identifybusiness opportunities with respect to increasing sales in their regionincluding the identification of potential new broker/agent relationships.
- Prepare,co-ordinate and present sales presentations and proposals to new and existingbrokers and agents.
- Attendand promote the Bank's mortgage products at industry Trade Shows, Conferences,and Promotional Events.
- Accountable for achieving and reporting sales activity targets for the regions.




- Manageterritory expenses and accountable for overall budget.
- AchieveKey Result Areas as required for the role.
- Relatedadministrative duties as required.

Qualifications

- University Degree in a related field and 4 to 6 years of mortgagesales experience or College Diploma in a related field and 7 to 10 years ofmortgage sales experience.
- Knowledgeof mortgage products, CMHC and Genworth policies and mortgage underwritingguidelines.
- Alongwith in-depth mortgage sales experience, an established network of mortgagebrokers and agents within Calgary.
- Polishedpresentation skills.
- Customer-focused, adept at building client relations.
- Strongwritten and verbal communication skills.
- Energeticand outgoing.
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
- Abilityto multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Goodknowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
