About the Role
HealthOPM is recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with PACU experience for a travel assignment at a hospital in Sechelt, British Columbia. This opportunity is suited to a PACU nurse interested in working on BC's Sunshine Coast, with a need beginning as early as possible in October and continuing onward.
Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients during emergence and recovery from anesthesia.
- Assess respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, pain and overall recovery status.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and provide pain and symptom management within scope.
- Collaborate with anesthesia,
surgical and interdisciplinary teams.
- Complete accurate clinical documentation and follow site policies and procedures.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in British Columbia, or ability to obtain BC registration before the assignment.
- Current BLS.
- Solid acute-care assessment, monitoring and clinical judgment skills.
- Availability for a travel assignment in Sechelt, BC beginning in October or shortly thereafter.
