Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join their industrial team in Kimberley . This role is vital for ensuring the reliability and performance of our manufacturing machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical systems, including pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and dismantle mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults, including issues with bearings, seals, couplings, and drives.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed using workshop equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements
- Qualified Mechanical Maintenance Fitter or equivalent trade qualification.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures relevant to mechanical maintenance.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in Kimberley .
