Venor is partnering with an innovative healthcare organization in Nova Scotia in the search for a contract Project Manager. Our client works to address the province's access-to-care challenges by bringing skilled, compassionate physicians into communities sooner and strengthening the future of healthcare in Nova Scotia. To support this growth, the organization is developing a new clinical facility. Reporting to the VP, Operations, the Project Manager will lead the planning, setup, and transition into the new facility. Working closely with internal teams, designers, and vendors, this person will ensure the space is fully equipped and ready for operations, with minimal disruption to patient care. This role is well suited to someone who is flexible, resourceful, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift often.
What you'll be doing: Facility Planning and Setup Work with leadership to define what the recent space needs, room by room, building on the floor plan already in place.
Research, compare, and source suppliers for furniture, medical equipment, and other fit-out items, with clear quotes and recommendations.
Plan and track orders with long lead times (often 6 to 8 months), so items arrive on schedule.
Coordinate with builders, interior designers, landlord contacts, and vendors through regular check-ins to keep the client's interests front and centre.
Manage the details the builder does not cover, such as room setup, safety equipment placement, and making sure each space is ready for use.
Transition and Move Planning Build and manage a plan to move from current clinic locations into the new facility with as little disruption to patient care as possible.

Assess existing furniture and equipment and recommend whether to move it or buy new, based on cost and timing. Create contingency plans, as timelines and construction dates may shift.
Communication and Change Support Keep leadership informed with clear updates, documentation, and status reports. Support staff through the change by sharing information early and often, apply change management principles to assist internal stakeholders with the relocation.
Technology Projects (as needed) Support technology planning for the new facility, including audiovisual systems in clinic rooms, waiting room displays, and patient flow tools. Help compare technology options and quotes to make sure the right systems are in place. Support the rollout of a workforce management and documentation platform used to track staff, assessors, and candidates.
What we are looking for: Proven experience managing projects that involve facility setup, office or clinic moves, fit-outs, or similar operational projects.
Experience sourcing and working with suppliers and vendors, including comparing quotes and managing orders with long lead times.
Strong organization and planning skills, with the ability to manage many moving parts and build contingency plans.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where plans change often,

with a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a habit of explicit documentation and regular updates.
Experience supporting staff through change, or a solid understanding of change management.
Availability for a flexible schedule, as hours will vary through the project, with heavier and lighter periods.
Ability to work on-site in the Halifax Regional Municipality as needed, with a mix of in-person and work from home.
A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel between sites.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare, clinical, or other regulated environments. Experience with IT or technology projects, such as audiovisual systems, digital displays, or software rollouts. Project management training or certification (such as PMP).
What's in it for you: Make a Lasting Impact - Help shape a new clinical space that will support physicians and patients across Nova Scotia for years to come.
Variety Every Week - No two weeks look the same.
Flexibility That Fits - Enjoy a flexible schedule and a mix of on-site and remote work over a 12 to 18 month engagement.
At Venor, we embrace a culture of belonging in the workplace. No matter who you are, where you're from, how you think, what you believe in, or who you love, we welcome your application. We all come from different backgrounds and different walks of life, bringing in unique perspectives and experiences.
