Our client, a growing Private Equity firm located near the Oakville/Burlington border, is looking for an ambitious Investor Relations & Business Development Associate to join their team. This is an exciting chance for an early-career finance professional who wants to learn the business, build relationships with investment advisors, and develop toward a future role in Business Development and capital raising.

The Opportunity

You will work closely with the firm's team and advisor network, gaining hands-on exposure to Private Equity funds, investor relations, fundraising, and business development. Approximately 80% of the role will focus on managing and developing existing advisor relationships, with 20% focused on identifying new Exempt Market Dealers and business development opportunities.

Responsibilities

- Managing relationships with advisors and capital partners
- Responding to inquiries regarding funds, portfolios, distributions, and transactions
- Educating advisors on the firm's funds and investment strategies
- Supporting investor communications and fund administration




- Maintaining accurate investor records and documentation
- Identifying and developing new advisor and distribution relationships
- Supporting the firm's capital-raising and business development initiatives

What We're Looking For

- Recent graduate with a degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident, personable, and comfortable building relationships
- Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
- Genuine interest in Private Equity, investments, and capital raising
- Ambitious and interested in developing a long-term career in Finance
- Previous Private Equity experience is not required. We're looking for someone with the drive, personality, and curiosity to learn and grow.
