We are seeking a reliable, creative, supportive, and passionate individual to join our Front-Line Team as a Part-Time Childminding Staff . This part-time role is an integral part of the team, providing exceptional, attentive, and engaging care that meets or exceeds member expectations. The successful candidate will be responsible for building positive relationships with children, parents, members, and guests while creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment. Through quality care, age-appropriate activities, effective communication, teamwork, and a strong focus on safety and service, the Part-Time Childminding Staff Member will support the daily operations of the department and contribute to memorable family experiences, helping create a warm “second home” environment at the Glencoe Club.

Responsibilities:

- Provide attentive,



high-quality care that meets or exceeds member and guest expectations while building positive relationships with children and families and creating a welcoming “second home” environment.
- Actively supervise children and provide age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, positive interactions, and overall well-being.
- Follow all Club, Childminding, health, safety, emergency, and security procedures. Maintain accurate child counts and records and promptly report any concerns, incidents, or injuries.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents about their child’s experience, respond to questions or concerns, and elevate matters to a supervisor when appropriate.
- Assist with registration, opening and closing procedures, activity setup, cleaning, organization, and the maintenance of supplies and equipment.
- Participate in daily activities, monthly themes, special events, and other initiatives that enhance the Childminding experience.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a childcare or child-minding program, with a passion for creating positive experiences for children and families.
- Alberta Child Care Level 1 certification and Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification are considered assets.
- Strong knowledge of child development, safety, and age-appropriate programming and activities.
- Warm, engaging, and professional personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive,



and welcoming environment while confidently managing multiple children and changing priorities.
- Robust organizational and teamwork skills, with a commitment to exceptional member service, professionalism, and the highest standards of care.

Reporting to the Child Care Director, this part-time role is primarily focused on weekday evening shifts and weekend availability, while recognizing the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Applicants should be comfortable with a flexible schedule and understand that occasional adjustments to hours or additional shifts may be required to meet operational needs. The expectation is primarily for weekday evening and weekend availability, with flexibility when possible. Reliability, adaptability, and a strong commitment to providing quality care are essential to the role.

As a condition of employment, the successful applicant will be required to complete the Respect in the Workplace certificationandVulnerable Sector Checkprior to commencing employment.
