We are pleased to be supporting Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (“CC&L; Financial Group”) in the search for a Head of Public Markets & Quant Technology (the “Principal”). This is a newly created leadership role that will be instrumental in defining and delivering the technology strategy that supports the full public markets and quantitative investment lifecycle. Working in close partnership with investment professionals, quantitative researchers, traders, operations, risk, compliance, and finance teams, the successful candidate will modernize platforms, drive automation, improve data quality, strengthen operational resilience, and enable scalable, technology-led investment capabilities.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced technology executive who combines strategic vision, strong engineering expertise, and a deep understanding of investment workflows. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technology partner to Public Markets and Quant stakeholders, bringing together teams, capabilities, and priorities into a cohesive business-aligned function. The role offers significant front‑office engagement, broad visibility across the organization, and the opportunity to lead a critical technology domain, influence the operating model, and serve as a strategic partner in delivering the next generation of investment technology.

About Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group
Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group is Canada’s largest and fastest growing privately owned asset management firm, providing a broad range of traditional and alternative investment products and services through a network of 15 affiliates and subsidiaries. With already more than $230 billion in assets under management, the organization combines the entrepreneurial strengths of its investment affiliates with the scale, operational expertise, and shared resources of a diversified enterprise.

As CC&L; Financial Group continues to evolve its investment technology capabilities and operating model, the firm is seeking a senior leader to define and execute the technology strategy supporting its Public Markets and Quant businesses. This role will help shape the future of investment technology across portfolio management, research, trading, investment operations, and data capabilities, while driving modernization, automation, resilience, and measurable business outcomes.

The Opportunity
Reporting into the Co-Heads of Technology, the Principal will lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of technology capabilities across the public markets and quantitative investment ecosystem. This includes portfolio management, investment research, analytics, trading, investment operations, post‑trade workflows, data quality, reporting, and platform resilience.

The Principal will serve as the primary technology partner to investment professionals and business stakeholders, translating business priorities into a clear technology roadmap while balancing long‑term modernization objectives with practical execution. They will collaborate closely with enterprise technology teams across data, AI and automation, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, service management, quality assurance, release management, and site reliability to bring enterprise‑grade capabilities and standards into the public markets and quantitative investing domain.

This is not a traditional application ownership or support role.
