Enhance the performance of refinery rotating equipment as a Reliability Engineer with Parkland in Burnaby, BC. This 6-month term role focuses on equipment reliability and provides support for critical operations.
As a Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer/Specialist, you will directly impact the safety and efficiency of rotating assets in the Burnaby Refinery. Collaborate with various teams, including Operations and Maintenance, while conducting failure analysis, condition monitoring, and lifecycle planning to promote sustained equipment reliability. This position represents a key temporary role during a parental leave absence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate rotating equipment failures and management concerns
• Monitor equipment health and provide corrective action plans
• Own and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
• Support vibration monitoring and lubrication initiatives
• Promote safe working practices and participate in safety programs
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years in rotating equipment reliability
• Qualified Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility
• Knowledge of API standards and RCFA methodology
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
