Are you passionate about infrastructure, problem-solving, and field-based engineering work? Join our Noise and Vibration team to assess track conditions, identify maintenance requirements, and contribute to the safe and reliable operation of one of the region's most essential transit networks.
What You Will Do The successful candidate will provide technical support for the inspection, maintenance, testing, and improvement of the subway track network, with a specialized focus on noise and vibration mitigation. Responsibilities include conducting field inspections and condition assessments, investigating track-related defects and noise complaints, analyzing asset performance, and supporting maintenance and capital projects. The role also involves monitoring and evaluating rail grinding, milling, and lubrication programs, assessing their effectiveness in reducing noise, vibration, and rail wear, and recommending corrective actions where required. Working closely with engineers, contractors, and operations staff, the incumbent will prepare technical reports, maintain records and databases, and help develop solutions that support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of TTC track infrastructure.

What Qualifications Do You Bring? You have completed a Community College Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent;
Having an O.A.C.E.T.T. certification as a Certified Engineering Technician or Technologist would be an asset;
Sound knowledge of principles associated with design, analysis and maintenance of railways and/or roadways would be an asset.;
Your application should demonstrate knowledge of mechanical and/or civil technical principles, methods and practices;
You must be proficient in the use of a personal computer and computerized applications related to the work including computer aided drawing (CAD)
Ability to use software and database packages to analyse information and develop trends, statistical profiles and economic comparisons;
Good organizational and planning skills, along with well-developed and effective oral and written communications skills;
A valid non-probationary class G driver’s license, may be required to use own automobile in order to travel to the different project work sites.
