DHL Express is currently seeking a Casual Courier Driver in Quebec City, QC . This is a casual position with no set schedule; shift availability must be between 7am and 10pm.
Wage: $20.23/hour, with increases as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive a company van to complete assigned deliveries and pickups
- Lift and carry parcels up to 70 lbs per piece throughout the shift
- Scan and process freight per agreed procedures and security policies
- Accurately sort and process inbound material by deadlines
- Assist the Tracing Department with warehouse checks for missorts and on-hands
- Move freight within the warehouse area as required
- Interact with customers over the phone and at the service counter
- Perform accurate reporting and participate in warehouse organization and clean-up
- Meet all security requirements and maintain a safe, cooperative work environment
- Complete other warehouse duties as assigned by the shift supervisor
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual in French and English (required per Quebec's Bill 96)
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Broad general working knowledge of warehouse functions
- Good knowledge of MS Office; comfortable Excel user
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting
- Strong multitasking ability and ability to work under pressure
- Able to handle bulky, heavy, awkward shipments and stand for long periods
- Minimum one year of warehouse/customer service experience (asset)
- Understanding of First Choice Programs and Global SOP (asset)
