Reporting to the Recreation Manager, the Recreation Aide plays a vital role in developing and executing meaningful activities for residents. You'll be responsible for rolling out daily programs, maintaining records, and facilitating outings that promote socialization and enjoyment. In this position, excellent communication and teamwork are essential to ensure a vibrant community atmosphere and effective care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the planning and implementation of resident programs
• Maintain departmental records of individual participation
• Facilitate scheduled outings for residents
• Prepare and evaluate daily recreational activities
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
Requirements:
• College diploma in Recreation, Gerontology, or equivalent
• Experience working with seniors
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Solid oral and written communication skills
• Compassionate and energetic disposition toward elderly care
