Valard Construction is expanding its Saskatchewan Distribution group and seeking Powerline Technician Apprentices of all levels, from inexperienced newcomers to Level Four apprentices. This role offers a structured path towards obtaining your Interprovincial Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate under the guidance of experienced Journeyman Powerline Technicians. Enjoy valuable on-the-job training, working on both overhead and underground power line facilities during weekdays or adjusted hours in daylight.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in constructing overhead and underground power lines
• Erect and maintain poles, towers, and guy wires
• Splice and insulate conductors for distribution networks
• Install grounding devices under supervision
• Respond to emergency situations affecting electrical service
Requirements:
• Enrolled or eligible as a PLT Apprentice with SATCC
• Valid Driver's License with clean abstract
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures
• Experience with distribution networks (14.4kV - 25kV)
• Local residency in Saskatchewan
