8-Month Contract, 7 days on, 7 days off rotation. Camp Environment (accommodations and meals provided)
Are you someone who enjoys driving, working outdoors, and being part of a team that keeps operations running smoothly? We are looking for a Runner to support our camp and project operations by transporting materials, tools, and equipment while assisting with yard, shop, and camp activities as needed.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is safety-focused, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, including remote locations.
What You’ll Do
Safely transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies between camp locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Operate trucks and trailers safely, including hooking/unhooking and maneuvering in various site conditions.
Coordinate deliveries to help ensure project schedules stay on track.
Maintain accurate records of shipped and returned equipment.
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
Secure loads properly using straps, tie-downs, and other approved methods.
Assist with moving supplies throughout camp and project locations.
Follow proper lifting and material handling procedures.
Assist with inventory and organization of tools and equipment.
Support general labour activities in the shop, yard, office, and camp facilities.
Help maintain clean, safe,
and organized work areas.
Care for company vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment.
Provide updates on deliveries and transportation activities.
Build positive relationships with camp staff, project teams, and vendors.
Represent the company professionally at all times.
What You Bring
Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Experience operating trucks and trailers is considered an asset.
Knowledge of load securement practices and protected material handling.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Willingness to travel to remote project and camp locations.
Ability to work extended hours, rotational schedules, or weekends as required.
$23.57 - $27.73 per hour. Job-specific allowance paid in addition to the standard hourly rate to reflect particular assignment requirements, including site conditions, location, or the complexity and scope of the work. Any applicable allowance will be identified separately in the offer.
