Permanent Full time Care Facilitator in our Operating Room
Department : Perioperative Service
Status : Full-Time
Schedule : Days [7.5 hr shifts]
Hourly Rate : $45.49 – $63.32 (effective April 1, 2026)
Posting Date : October 8, 2026
Closing Date : October 15, 2026
Duties to Commence : November 30, 2026
Affiliation : ONA Local 049
Key Responsibilities include:
Participate in and attend Perioperative Services Quality Committee meetings.
Complete pre-admission assessment clinic triage activities in accordance with established processes and clinical requirements.
Participate in departmental and organizational accreditation-readiness activities,
including evidence collection, practice reviews, tracers and implementation of required improvements.
Support quality improvement, patient safety and education initiatives within Perioperative Services.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (BScN).
Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario and a member in good standing.
Candidates with a diploma in Nursing will be considered where they possess a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive perioperative nursing experience and demonstrate equivalent clinical and leadership expertise.
Operating Room Certification and experience
1-3 years of recovery room, acute care, ICU or ED experience
Current BCLS, ACLS and N95 mask fit
Coronary care course and /or critical care course preferred
Computer competency (EPIC and order entry)
Ability to assume leadership/supervisory and teaching roles
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills
Proven ability in independent and collaborative decision making
Critical analysis skills
Commitment to continued education related to position
