This role supports the roadway design process within the Infrastructure Planning & Design Branch. You will engage with multidisciplinary teams, conduct field reviews, and prepare engineering drawings in alignment with Local, Provincial, and Federal standards. Collaborating with supervising engineers, you will focus on enhancing community connectivity while adhering to cost and lifecycle considerations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review project scopes with engineers and stakeholders
• Conduct site inspections and evaluate infrastructure conditions
• Prepare engineering drawings per roadway design standards
• Coordinate design elements like traffic signals and landscaping
• Guide staff using AutoCAD and Civil3D software
Requirements:
• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
• Eligible for Certified Engineering Technologist designation
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D and Google Workspace
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license
