The School of Health and Wellness at Red Deer Polytechnic is currently inviting applications for a Part-time instructor position for KPAC 1255C - Yoga for Beginners in the Kinesiology and Sports Studies Program commencing December 16, 2026.

The focus of this position will be instructing the KPAC 1255C - Yoga for Beginners for Winter 12/16/2026 - 04/30/2027 on Tuesday and Thursday at 12:30pm - 1:50pm.

Position Responsibilities

Teaching students in classroom and/or lab settings with flexibility for both face to face and online course delivery.

Creating a stimulating, effective, and learner-centered environment.

Preparing, reviewing and/or updating course material. Marking, grading, and evaluation of student work.

Providing ongoing feedback, guidance, and assistance to students.

Upholding the Professional Responsibilities of Faculty at RDP which are described within the Faculty Performance Policy.

Demonstrating and promoting RDP organizational values and following Policies and practices.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree preferably in Kinesiology,



Physical Education, or Recreation.

Yoga teacher training is considered an asset.

Excellent communication, public relations and interpersonal skills.

Passion for teaching, ability to inspire students, and commitment to student learning and success.

Ability to work effectively in a variety of team environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional experience and education in the field.

Experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.

Salary
Commensuratewitheducation andexperience.

Advantages and Compensation Information

Part Time Instructors receive an additional 14% of their gross salary in lieu of benefits and vacation pay.
