This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who brings robust technical accounting expertise, proven team leadership, and the ability to step into a fast-paced environment and quickly establish priorities.The Controller/ Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day finance operations, lead a team of 3, and support reporting across standalone affiliated entities. This position will play a key role in financial statement preparation, board reporting, treasury oversight, internal review processes, and team leadership during a period of transition.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and support a team of 3 finance professionals across areas including analysis, payroll/accounts payable, and accounts receivable/billingPrepare and review monthly financial statements for a small number of standalone entitiesEnsure financial reporting is completed accurately and in accordance with GAAP/IFRSPrepare quarterly board reporting packages, including commentary and explanations of financial resultsOversee treasury-related activities, including banking coordination, cash oversight,



and loan payment monitoringSupport quarterly bank compliance requirements and reportingReview and approve key financial transactions, including payments, purchase orders, journal entries, payroll, and receivablesProvide day-to-day leadership, prioritization, mentoring, and guidance to the finance teamMaintain strong internal controls and support review processes within a regulated environmentAssist with budgeting activities and other finance-related projectsSupport process improvement initiatives and work within an ERP environmentQualificationsProven experience in a Controller, Finance Manager, or similar finance leadership roleStrong technical accounting background with experience preparing and reviewing financial statementsKnowledge of GAAP and/or IFRSDemonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing a finance teamExperience in a regulated industry such as utilities, energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, financial services, or another compliance-driven setting is highly preferredComfortable working in a hands-on capacity with both strategic oversight and day-to-day operational involvementExperience preparing board reporting and communicating financial results to senior leadershipTreasury and banking compliance oversight experience is an assetExperience with ERP systems; exposure to Business Central is preferredAbility to work on-site initially to support transition, with hybrid flexibility over the course of the assignment If you are a finance leader with strong technical accounting expertise, experience leading teams, and a background in regulated or compliance-driven environments, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
