Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Human resources management/personnel administration, general
or equivalent experience
Asset languages English, Middle (1100-1500)
Tasks Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.)
Assign sales workers to duties
Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
Authorize payments by cheque
Order merchandise
Authorize return of merchandise
Establish work schedules
Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
Organize and maintain inventory
Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
Manage cash
Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
Sell products on a retail basis
Provide advice in the area of food preparation and storage, and food safety
Establish work schedules and procedures
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
Provide advice about merchandise
Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
Communicate with train crew members to give and receive train operation information
