Red Deer Catholic Regional Division invites applications from an experienced and collaborative educational leader to serve as a Temporary Vice-Principal at École Notre Dame High School for approximately 4–6 weeks.
This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role, support a strong school community, and work alongside the Principal and staff to ensure students continue to experience a safe, welcoming and faith-filled learning environment.
The Opportunity
The Temporary Vice-Principal will work closely with the Principal and school staff to provide day-to-day leadership and support. Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the Principal in the overall leadership and administration of the school.
- Promoting a secure, caring and inclusive school environment.
- Supporting student behaviour, discipline and well-being.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, students and families.
- Supporting school operations, supervision and daily decision-making.
- Responding to student and parent concerns with compassion, professionalism and sound judgement.
- Supporting the Catholic mission, vision and values of Red Deer Catholic Regional Division.
- Fostering positive relationships and a culture of respect,
belonging and psychological safety.
- Assuming other leadership responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in school-based leadership or demonstrated leadership readiness.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to navigate sensitive situations.
- A collaborative and student-centred approach to leadership.
- The ability to build positive relationships with staff, students and families.
- Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Red Deer Catholic Regional Division.
- A willingness to step into a leadership role and contribute positively to the school community.
