This full time position reports to the Provincial Manager of the Intake Mental Health and Addictions Program. You will utilize screening tools and conduct risk assessments while offering supportive counseling. Your role is crucial in navigating clients through the health care system and building partnerships with community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate intake for Mental Health and Addictions services
• Conduct risk assessments and clinical triage
• Provide brief supportive counseling and psychoeducation
• Act as a liaison between community resources and MHA
• Assist clients in identifying their needs and accessing support
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
• Registration with Nova Scotia College of Social Workers
• Three years of experience in Mental Health and Addictions
• Skilled in motivational interviewing and engagement techniques
• Knowledge of community resources and harm reduction strategies
