Job Overview
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment in our food processing and packaging facility, including dry packaging and can processing machines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to learn and grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities

Perform regular preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.

Install, align, and calibrate machinery and mechanical equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures in food processing and packaging equipment.

Assist in modifying or upgrading existing machinery to improve efficiency.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow safety procedures.

Support senior mechanics and technicians as needed.

Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards in all maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

Certification or apprenticeship as a millwright, or working towards completion.





1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in food processing.

Valid Millwright (433A) license is an asset but not required.

Experience with dry packaging and can processing machines is highly desirable.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in an industrial setting.

Physical requirements: ability to lift, stand for long periods, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment

Full-time, on-site position (day shift; flexibility to support occasional evening or weekend maintenance as needed).

Fast-paced food manufacturing environment involving standing, lifting, and mechanical work.
