GENERAL SUMMARY The Night Auditor is the hotel's quiet leader during overnight hours—keeping the property running smoothly, guests comfortable, and the books balanced. You'll handle financial reconciliation, provide guest support, manage security, and set up the hotel for success the next day. You're essential to maintaining Moxy's standards around the clock, even when most guests are sleeping.
WHO YOU ARE Experience High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous hotel front desk or accounting experience is preferred.
Strong understanding of financial procedures and basic accounting principles.
Proficiency with hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fosse, Marriott GXP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours.
Preferred Extras Overnight warrior—ready to work graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Sharp problem-solver and detail-oriented.
Strong communicator with a guest-focused mindset.
Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
Familiarity with Marriott systems and procedures.
Physical Requirements Comfortable standing and moving for long periods (up to 8 hours/shift).
Able to lift/carry up to 20 lbs occasionally.
Manual dexterity to operate front desk and office equipment.
Robust visual acuity and focus for extended periods.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Keep It Fresh Maintain the front desk area—clean, organized, and ready for the day team.
Prepare and set up breakfast areas and morning services.
Manage phone calls, emails, and reservations during nighttime hours with professionalism.
Support the Crew Serve as the main point of contact for guests during overnight hours—check-ins, check-outs, and requests.
Provide detailed information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and transportation.
Assist with basic housekeeping tasks to keep the lobby welcoming and fresh.
Delight the Guests Employ the LEARN approach when resolving guest concerns—always with calm, confident flair.
Address issues promptly and ensure guests have a pleasant, peaceful stay.
Jump in where needed to support the overnight guest experience.
Own the Numbers Perform end-of-day procedures—balance room revenue, F&B; revenue, and cashier reports like a pro.
Reconcile credit card transactions, process payments, and ensure accurate billing.
Prepare and distribute daily financial reports to management.
Maintain confidentiality of guest information and financial data.
Shine Behind the Scenes Monitor hotel security systems and conduct regular property walks.
Ensure a safe environment for guests and staff overnight.
Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents to management.
Provide a thorough shift handover to the morning team—highlighting significant occurrences and pending tasks.

Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to resolve issues swiftly.
