Location: Various locations across Alberta

As a Critical Care Nurse, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients with life-threatening conditions and complex medical needs in intensive care settings. Your expertise will be vital in monitoring, assessing,and managing critically ill patients, ensuring the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of criticallyill patients, including monitoring vital signs, interpreting diagnostic tests,and evaluating medical histories.
Develop and implement individualized care plansin collaboration with the healthcare team, addressing the unique needs of eachpatient.
Administer medications, intravenous therapies,and other treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safetyprotocols.




Provide continuous monitoring and support forpatients using advanced medical equipment and technology.
Educate patients and their families aboutmedical conditions, treatment options, and care processes, offering emotionalsupport during challenging times.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records,documenting assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams tocoordinate care and make timely decisions regarding patient management.
Stay current with advancements in critical carepractices, protocols, and technology to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; anAssociate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) may be accepted with relevant experience.
Previous experience in critical care nursing orin a similar high-acuity workplace is preferred.
Robust clinical assessment and critical thinkingskills to respond effectively to emergencies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsto engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) orsimilar credentials preferred.
