We are seeking a sessional instructor for THTR 112 within the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance. Ideal candidates will hold a BFA in a relevant field, complemented by university teaching or professional theatre experience. Lead students through project-based learning in set construction, prop making, and scenic painting during this engaging winter term lab.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach stagecraft techniques with hands-on projects
• Guide students in set construction and scenic painting
• Facilitate prop making creative sessions
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain a collaborative and inclusive learning setting
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Fine Arts in a related field
• University teaching experience preferred
• Professional theatre industry experience advantageous
• Knowledge of stagecraft techniques
• Legal entitlement to work in Canada
