THRIVE Child Development Centre is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting & Payroll Clerk to join our cooperative team.
This is a contract position begin in November 2026 and continue through June 2027, with the potential for extension. The position will initially be scheduled for approximately 15-20 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing to up to 37.5 hours per week based on organizational needs.

As the Accounting & Payroll Clerk, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the Centre, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, payroll support, and financial record maintenance. Working closely with the Business Director and Finance & Payroll Administrator, you will play an important role in ensuring accurate, timely, and confidential financial processes.

What You Bring:

• College diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.


• Experience with financial and payroll systems


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office


• Knowledge of financial data entry, reconciliation, documentation, and payroll support processes.


• Robust organizational and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.


• The ability to manage recurring deadlines and work within established procedures.






• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.


• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.


• Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to protect confidential financial, client, and employee information.


• Related experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable; payroll exposure is an asset.


• Experience with Sage 300 General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and ADP Payroll is considered an asset


• Non-profit organization experience is an asset
