Job Description
Location: Various locations across Ontario
MedicalLaboratory Scientists conduct complex tests and analyses to provide criticalinformation for patient diagnosis and treatment. They also oversee laboratoryoperations and mentor MLTs.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Perform advanced laboratorytests and analyses on biological specimens.
- Ensure the accuracy andreliability of test results.
- Develop and validate newtesting methods.
- Maintain laboratory qualitycontrol and compliance with regulations.
- Train and superviselaboratory personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to discussfindings and implications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in MedicalLaboratory Science or related field.
- Certification as a MedicalLaboratory Scientist (e.g., ASCP, CSMLS).
- Robust problem-solvingskills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communicationskills.
