The Alberta Referral Directory (ARD) Department is hiring for the ARD Specialist Profile Coordinator role in a full-time temporary capacity. The ARD department is part of Health Link 811 within Primary Care Alberta. This team manages the ARD website (www.albertareferraldirectory.ca), an online directory that contains referral information for specialty care options across Alberta. The ARD Specialist Profile Coordinator role is a great opportunity if you are passionate about improving patient access to specialty care in Alberta and are committed to ongoing improvement work in healthcare. In this role, you will be responsible for the ARD specialist profile portfolio, with the primary goals of optimizing the quality of specialist information within the ARD and ensuring program objectives are achieved. In addition, you will contribute to ARD activities, collaborations, and special projects.

Description:
As the ARD Specialist Profile Coordinator, your primary role will be to improve specialist profiles and ensure program goals are met. You will connect with specialists and other healthcare professionals by phone and email to review, update, and validate profiles. You will also update, document, and maintain specialist practice locations, statuses, and contact information. In addition, you will monitor and analyze reporting, provide regular status updates, identify and implement workflow improvements, and track and resolve issues. Other responsibilities include supporting ARD activities such as helpdesk support, application testing, communication initiatives, healthcare service profile development, and special projects. Strong data integrity skills are essential for this role as you will be completing extensive data entry, profile editing and documentation tasks each day. You must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time-management skills, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and decision-making skills.



This position requires sound judgment and the ability to work independently and with a team while being flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of a bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent post-secondary education. A minimum of two years of experience in a referral processing role or in a data quality assurance role within a healthcare workplace. Experience in stakeholder engagement, process improvement and documentation. management. Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM. Proficiency using Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, and Teams.

Additional Required Qualifications:
As Required.

Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of two years of experience working as a Medical Office Assistant and experience processing referrals in Connect Care. Experience in coordinating and distributing large-scale email communications and experience supporting a shared email inbox. Coursework or certification in medical terminology, data management, project management, quality improvement or change management.
