CoolIT, An Ecolab Company, a leading Direct Liquid Cooling technology provider for data centers, supercomputers, and desktop computers is seeking a talented Automation Specialist who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to support CoolIT's products' testing. This role plays a key part in automating test equipment, improving efficiency, and ensuring product consistency by leveraging automated equipment, robotics, PLC programming, and industrial control systems. Working closely with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams, the Automation Specialist supports both new equipment integration and continuous improvement of existing systems.

What You Will Do Design, develop, and support automation solutions including software driven systems, PLC controlled equipment, and automated test platforms.
Develop and maintain Python based tools and applications to automate workflows, data collection, analysis, and system integration.




Create and manage Power BI dashboards and data visualization tools to support performance tracking, decision making, and operational insights.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
Develop and modify SW programs and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for control and monitoring of automated systems.
Lead or support the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of automation equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software, control systems, sensors, and automated equipment.
Maintain and document automation systems, including software code, electrical schematics, system architecture, and change logs.
Support procurement activities by defining technical requirements, evaluating vendors, and ensuring alignment with system design.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and reduce downtime.
Train test teams on automated systems and provide ongoing technical support.
Stay current with emerging technologies in automation, software development, data analytics, and industrial controls.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or related field.
3+ years of experience in automation.




Expertise in Embedded Systems.
Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with SCADA systems, MES, and industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
Background in automated testing, motion control, and servo systems.
Experience working in a high-tech, electronics, or fluid systems manufacturing environment.
Robust problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation.
Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Capable of managing multiple priorities and working independently in a fast-paced, evolving production setting.
Safety-conscious mindset with knowledge of industrial safety and machine safeguarding principles.
Successful candidates for this position will be required to undergo background checks.
