Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Experience

Experience working with a variety of First Nations communities; their culture and healing practices.

4-5 years’ experience preferred working with children, youth and families.

Experience and training in treatment models related to developmental trauma.

Experience in case management.

Experience and or training in any of the following: DBT, CBT, family treatment models are assets.

Experience developing and delivering mental health education is considered an asset.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

Master’s degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited education institution required.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

Active member in valuable standing of an associated regulatory body.

Qualifications and Skills

Training and demonstrated skill in several of the following areas: clinical assessment, individual therapy, family therapy,



group therapy, play therapy and systems intervention.

Core knowledge of child and adolescent development and mental health issues in childhood and adolescence. An appreciation and understanding of the impact that colonization has had on First Nations communities in Manitoba.

Skilled in building collaborative working partnerships with a variety of service providers, Jordan’s Principle service coordinators/case managers, clients and families.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
