Take on a pivotal role as the Senior Accountant and Finance Systems Lead with VACFSS in Vancouver, BC. This full time position offers competitive pay and a chance to enhance Indigenous family support.
As an integral member of the Finance Department, the Senior Accountant supervises day-to-day operations and leads finance systems initiatives. You will ensure effective financial services while overseeing payroll, bank reconciliations, and reports. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you help improve operational efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise Finance staff and promote a supportive environment
• Plan and evaluate departmental goals and effectiveness
• Improve financial processes and bolster internal controls
• Manage Finance Department activities and service requirements
• Support budget development and financial reporting
Requirements:
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• CPA or equivalent and five years of financial experience
• Two years of staff supervision and operational leadership experience
• Familiarity with finance system implementations and improvements
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
