Location: Various locations across Alberta
PhysicalTherapy Assistants (PTAs) work under the supervision of licensed physicaltherapists to implement treatment plans and assist patients in rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementingtreatment plans developed by physical therapists.
- Help patients withexercises, stretches, and rehabilitation activities.
- Monitor patient progress andprovide feedback to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients onexercises and self-care techniques.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean and safetreatment workplace.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree from anaccredited PTA program.
- State licensure orcertification as a physical therapy assistant.
- Strong communication andinterpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of ahealthcare team.
