We are looking for a highly technical and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate has experience producing high-quality fabrication and assembly drawings in a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering environment.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our design, R&D;, and production teams to translate complex concepts into clear, accurate technical drawings that support the manufacturing of our dilution refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple projects at once, maintaining strong documentation practices, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our design processes.

This role is integral to our success as we scale and commercialize our core product. The ideal person for this role is enthusiastic about stepping into a developing position and growing with us.

What Will You Do
You will support the development and documentation of our systems through accurate and detailed technical drawings and organized design documentation:

Create and maintain fabrication and assembly drawings using Autodesk Inventor

Build and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the CAD environment

Translate engineering concepts, sketches, and technical requirements into clear, manufacturable drawings

Maintain drawing revisions and documentation to support product development and manufacturing

Ensure drawings meet internal quality and documentation standards

Clearly communicate technical details and design updates to relevant team members

Identify opportunities to improve drawing clarity, documentation practices, and design workflows

This role requires both mechanical precision and technical reasoning in a highly structured scientific environment.

Preferred Experience / Technical Skills

5+ years experience producing fabrication or assembly drawings in a manufacturing or engineering workplace

Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (3D CAD)

Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings and blueprints

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to technical accuracy

Robust written and verbal communication skills

Solid computer skills including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace





Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

Motivation and work ethic to stay engaged in a fast-paced, creative problem-solving environment

Sense of responsibility for quality of work, accountability for mistakes, and commitment to continuous improvement

Nice to Have / Considered an Asset

Technical diploma or degree in Drafting Technology, Mechanical Design, or a related field

Experience working in manufacturing, engineering, or fabrication environments

Experience supporting engineering or product design teams

Strong documentation practices supporting manufacturing or product development

Ability to work independently while integrating cohesively within a multidisciplinary team
