In this temporary unionized role, you'll construct, install, and repair structures across facilities under the direction of the Foreman-Carpenter. Your expertise in carpentry will support educational excellence for over 21,000 students. Prioritize safety and efficiency while executing a variety of tasks with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Construct and repair structures using hand and power tools
• Prepare estimates for labor, materials, and time required
• Provide technical advice and training to staff
• Inspect facilities for preventive maintenance needs
• Respond to service calls and maintain equipment
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma and Interprovincial Trades Qualification in Carpentry
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s license
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team
• Understanding of WHMIS and WorkSafe BC regulations
