Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and dispatch drivers, trucks, and loads to ensure timely deliveries.
Coordinate with drivers, customers, and brokers to manage freight assignments.
Monitor driver locations and load progress using dispatch software and GPS systems.
Communicate load details, routes, and instructions clearly to drivers.
Handle driver inquiries, resolve issues, and provide support while on the road.
Track shipments, maintain accurate logs, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Manage last-minute changes, delays,
and emergency situations effectively.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a dispatcher in trucking, logistics, or transportation (preferred).
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with dispatch/trucking software and MS Office.
Knowledge of DOT, safety, and compliance regulations (an asset).
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
