Under limited supervision, this position will provide support to Wetaskiwin Hospital in OR Bookings, Bed Coordination and general office duties. As an Administrative Assistant IV, you will complete functions with minimal supervision and must use own judgment and critical thinking to problem solve. All tasks are completed with a high degree of accuracy, initiative, independence, accountability and confidentiality. Required to perform complex and specialized clerical duties that require extensive knowledge of the portfolio, the organization, policies, procedures and standards. Incumbent will work closely with physician offices as well as multiple departments within the facility. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities all while ensuring protected and appropriate patient care.

Required Qualifications:
Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills. You will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program. Computer skills including MS Office Suite of products and ability to type 45 WPM. Previous experience with Connect Care. Excellent communication skills. 2 years' experience in an administrative capacity in a health care setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years' Connect Care experience. Post-Secondary education in Office Administration or Medical Office Assistant.
